Relax with Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, sometimes called laughing gas, is a conservative sedation method that will wear off in time for you to resume your regularly scheduled activities after your appointment.
All you need to do is inhale this slightly sweat, colorless, gentle gas for a few moments prior to your procedure. Almost instantly, you will feel its calming effects.
Sedation Methods for Surgical Procedures
We offer these two options here at Woodmen Dental Group:
- Intravenous Sedation (IV): IV sedation will put you to sleep for the duration of your procedure.
- Oral Sedation: Your doctor will prescribe a pill to you prior to your appointment. After you take it, it will help calm your nerves.
These two options are available for patients preparing to undergo:
- Bone Grafting
- Wisdom Teeth Removal
- Gum Surgery
Should you go the route of IV or oral sedation, be sure to have a family member or friend who is available to drive you home after the appointment.
